honestly, I expected luxury but got a cramped room and a rude breakfast server. I just can't believe the restaurant was closed during my stay. as a guest who needs pampering, a complimentary upgrade woudl ve been nice too but I guess that's asking too much. who knew hotels could be so disappointing?

Had a solid stay here. Got a clean room, heaps of tasty breakfast options, but the decor felt tired and dated. Chur for the friendly service!

Family with children deserving a sweet getaway
The location was just perfect, right across the beach, we had nice strolls, just like a family should. Breakfast was fantastic, fresh and hot, they served it quick, so the kids didn’t have to wait too long before hitting the sand.

The rooms offer a bright and comfortable atmosphere, with stunning views of the sea. Breakfast options come with the chance to request special items like kippers or mushrooms, showcasing attention to detail in meal preparation.
The public spaces feel a bit underwhelming compared to the grand Victorian exterior, lacking in aesthetic charm. Some rooms may be on the smaller side, which might limit storage for longer stays. The elevator is handy, but could feel cramped if busy, especially with luggage.

Stunning sea view, convenient proximity to local transport, pet-friendly policy
The décor feels dreadfully outdated, especially with that bizarre carpet on the walls!!! The lack of urgent assistance at the counter makes it feel a bit neglected!!! Wi-Fi is inconsistent!!! Muffled ceiling sounds make quiet moments tricky!!!

Howay, this place is right on the beach, like! The staff were proper friendly, and the sea view from our room was a belter. But, the lift's a bit small for a busy hotel. Would definitely come back though!

I appreciated the lift that made it easy to navigate between floors, allowing me to enjoy my stay without any strain. The welcoming and attentive staff also ensured I felt truly valued throughout my time here.
More support with luggage handling would be helpful.

Stunning sea view and delightful staff
During my stay, I was amazed by the stunning sea view from my room and the delightful breakfast that included options like perfectly poached eggs and an array of fresh fruits. The location was incredibly convenient, just a short walk to local amenities including the bus and tram stops. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate my needs, making me feel very welcome. I felt that the wifi could use some improvement, as it wasn't always reliable.

Another fantastic stay in At Caledonia. From the moment we checked in, we were at ease and felt relaxed. The room was bright, comfortable, and kept very clean. The view we had was simply stunning! Breakfasts were very good with plenty of options, and it was a real treat each morning. The location is exceptional, being close to the Manx Electric Railway and just across from the Douglas Bay Horse Tramway stop.
No bar facilities during our stay.

would definitely come back here
The room had a beautiful view of the sea, with a good-sized window. It included an electric kettle and a generous supply of tea bags. The bathroom was very clean and had its own window. Breakfast featured perfectly poached eggs and a variety of fresh fruit and cereal options, served hot and quickly.
